My Background:

My name is Jay Henderson, and I currently reside in Dallas Texas. I am re-inventing my personal brand and website to focus on what I am currently passionate about and my career goals. I am interested in User Experience, Interaction Design, Gamification, and Transmediation and how they all correlate to each other in the world of innovation. So I have decided to break down my writing and getting back into the groove of Web 2.0 by sharing my reasoning for posting a blog in a three part series.

The first of the series will begin with my reasoning for leaving, what many consider a DREAM JOB. I am referring to my decision to leave Apple Retail and pursue an independent career in freelancing and continuing my education. The video above is my last day at Apple NorthPark in Dallas Texas. I wanted to work for Apple to gain insight into their ecosystem, and soon learned more than I could have ever imagined. It was an experience like none other, and I cherish each friendship, sale, and workshop developed there. The one thing that I learned was that any business who wishes to succeed MUST develop genuine relationships. Every purchase or transaction is a story waiting to unfold and take it’s place in history. I now hope to pursue my own goals with a few innovative advances of my own and this first post is a humble beginning of that dream.
